Life Group Guide (10.01.17)
For the week of October 1-7
Sermon Series: Standalone
Great Power (Watch or Listen to This Week's Message)
Impact Team Focus: First Impressions
Main Thought for the Week:
We must rely on the Spirit of God to fill and strengthen us from the inside. In doing so, we will be rooted in the foundation of God so we can’t be easily plucked out. His power will be at work in and through us to transform us and accomplish His purposes.
Ephesians 3:14-21 (ESV)
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 (ESV)
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
