What Can I Expect?

WHAT WILL SERVICE BE LIKE?

Each week we want you to be able to experience great music, an encouraging message, and friendly people as part of the Grace City experience. You can start checking your kids in 15 minutes before the service, and then grab some complimentary refreshments. Our service starts promptly at 10:00 am.

An average service starts with a greeting, then we sing three of four songs, and then take a few minutes to greet each other and take our kids to their classes. After the brief time of transition will be the sermon followed by a couple more songs. We wrap up our service with communion, and opportunity to give and a few brief announcements.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear to church. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress comfortably and you’ll fit right in.

The pastor will be wearing jeans, if that helps, and, you know, a shirt. But you understand what we mean, right?

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Our service starts at 10am. The coffee in our lobby is hot and ready for you when you arrive and our sanctuary doors open up 15 minutes early for you to find a seat.

The parking lot is close to the building, so running shoes aren’t necessary.

If you’re bringing your family with you, we’d recommend getting there 10-15 minutes before service starts to make sure you’ve got enough time to register your family for Kid City. Safety first!

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Grace City meets at the Sheldon Community Center at 2445 Willakenzie Road right off of Coburg Road in Eugene. Click here for directions.

There is plenty of parking and signs to get you headed in the right direction from there!

WHAT IS THERE FOR MY KIDS?

Our environment for children, Kid city, offers experiences that your children will love. There is something for your children ages six weeks to 5th grade, while students in grades 6-12 attend regular worship services.

Click here to find out more specifics about Kid City, including a description of each age group.

WILL I BE CALLED OUT AS A FIRST-TIME GUEST?

You mean other than the spotlight and dance contest? Just kidding!

No, we’re not going to call you out and make you wave, stand up, or dance. We will ask you, like we ask everyone attending, to fill out the Connect Card you’ll be handed before you walk in. It’s a great way for us to get to know you.

There’s also space on the Connect Card for you to write down a prayer request. We have a prayer team that will pray over your request throughout the week.
