Every Child Lane County, an organization that works with the Oregon Department of Human Services to aid vulnerable children and families in foster care, has invited us to partner with other churches and organizations to help refresh and makeover visitation rooms at our local DHS offices. 

When we were a brand new church six years ago, we got to join in this same initiative with Every Child, and most of the rooms from that refresh are still in good shape. However, these rooms need cleaned and have broken and damaged items that need replaced. 

We’ve signed up to cover three rooms at the ODHS office next to the Gateway Shoppes. And here’s where you come in: 

There are three different ways that you can serve in this project: 

First, we need 3-6 people per room on Friday, October 21st, from 6 - 8:30 PM to refresh the rooms. Since we have three rooms, we are looking for 9-18 volunteers to join us that evening. 

Second, we need folks to help us plan and gather items for these rooms. We need to purchase toys, rugs, furniture, and games for each of these rooms and many hands will make light work. 

Finally, you can contribute to this project financially. While we are excited that the church is in a position to take on this project without a special offering, we also want to make giving towards it available if you’d like to participate in that way.
